The Amber Palace is well known around the world for gorgeous palatial halls & elephant joy rides. Lesser known are the secrets from the backyard of the Amber citadel, we cycle through these hidden streets stopping at some charming little spots that have stood the test of time. These streets are forgotten from the tourist catalogues and unbeknownst to Social Media. Riding our bikes in the streets of Rural Amber following the footsteps of pilgrims & traders that used these paths as a gateway into the Amber Citadel through the centuries. Trip Highlights The Citadel of Amber This bicycle tour of Amber begins opposite the picturesque Maotha Lake, overlooking the glorious Amber Fort basking in the morning sun. We ride our bike and visit the Akbari Masjid and later ride out the main citadel of Amber leaving the battlement walls behind into the countryside. Baoris & Stepwells Water is the essence of human life and it has always played a pivotal role in shaping different civilizations. The baoris & stepwells of Amber also chronicle many such historic incidents that shaped the history of Amber as we know it today. Rural Amber Riding our bikes towards the countryside leaving behind urban Amber you feel the change in ambience. Whilst riding, smaller artisan shops are replaced by millet farms & cattle grazing on the foothills behind the walls of Amber. We make short stops at some archeological milestones that make this journey a special one. Why this tour? This cycling tour is an easy leisure activity that  takes you through a well-researched & documented trail curated exclusively for Bikepacking India guests. We take stipulated breaks at some of the historic sites that include a visit to a local temple in Amber. This is the ideal activity for beginner & novice cyclists. For experienced cyclists this is a nice way to spend time out in the open with your family & friends. And for everyone this is a glimpse of a city that was, which then spilled into Jaipur - The Pink City. You can either take a cab to the starting point or book a transfer with us.
